The Child and Family Services Review Board has jurisdiction under the Child and Family Services Act and the Education Act to hear applications and appeals of matters affecting children, youth and families.
These include:
Emergency secure treatment admissions;
School expulsions;
Adoption refusals;
Inter-country adoption denials or restrictions;
Removals of Crown wards from long term foster care placements:
and complaints about children's aid societies.
